• What is a bezel setting? A bezel setting is a great option for those who enjoy an active lifestyle and want their gemstone to be thoroughly protected. Unlike the prong setting (which doesn't offer as much security for your peridot stone) the sterling silver setting will entirely surround the sides of your gemstone, except at the top. This does restrict the amount of light the can hit your gemstone to make it dazzle, but it's much more secure and, especially when embellished with our diamond-like cubic zirconia, can often be much more beautiful!
• What is a prong setting? A prong setting uses three, four or six thin metal prongs to hold your gemstone, which extends from the base of your ring to hold the peridot stone in place. The beauty of the prong setting is the way it elevates your gorgeous gemstone so that it can be viewed from lots of different angles, and it will also dazzle the most too, since light can freely bounce around your gemstone! We have numerous rings in the prong and bezel setting style.
• What is a semi-bezel setting? Last but not least, with a semi bezel ring you'll get the best of both worlds, as this type of setting will protect your gemstone more than a prong, but less than a completely bezel setting. The metal doesn't completely surround the stone, but just holds it on two sides. This allows light to pass through more than bezel setting would, enhancing your gemstone, but also offers brilliant protection.
