Jewellery Trends For Autumn And Winter
We've scoured the catwalks to find the most wearable jewellery trends for this season, and while some trends, such as chunky, punkie chains and bold colours are definitely reserved for the haute couture look and not every day wear, there are some trends which translate well into wearable pieces for the modern woman. We don't design to follow these trends, but we do have pieces which tap into the fashion zeitgeist, but which are still wearable at any time of the year and which don't date like very trendy jewellery can. We've identified two main trends which our collection covers, the first of which is Parisian chic.
Parisian chic involves understated yet elegant pearl pieces with both Dior and Givenchy featuring the look on their runways. These Full Moon stud earrings feature a large freshwater pearl adorned with a single cubic zirconia as an accent (which also taps into our second trend, rhinestones) and this style perfectly encapsulates the Parisian look. The Fantasy earrings are also ideal for this trend, as they are elegant and simple with a little movement which will help the pearls shine as you move your head, accentuated by the micro-set cubic zirconia on the hanging loop. Our Harmony earrings are similar, but with a teardrop shaped mount rather than a round one, so pick the style that suits your face shape and hairstyle. The Fantasy and Full Moon earrings have matching necklaces which are also perfect for creating the elegant aesthetics of the Parisian style, and the Romance necklace is the ideal match for the Harmony earrings.
One of the key aspects of this sophisticated style is understatedly pairing pieces together to create a look that is put together yet effortless, so using complementary shapes and styles is a great way to achieve this. Coco Chanel famously said of accessorising, "Always take off the last thing you put on", so wearing two or three pieces of elegant jewellery is the way forward, rather than layering rings or necklaces. When you have a lot of lovely pieces the temptation to wear more is always there, so reigning yourself in might be hard - that's why Coco's advice is so pertinent.
The other key trend from the catwalks is rhinestones on everything. This can be tricky to pull off as it can easily start to look very Country and Western, so we've selected some pieces which tap into this trend stylishly. This Fantasia necklace, along with the other pieces in the collection, fit this trend perfectly combining the sparkle of cubic zirconia with a modern design which is very versatile, looking amazing with a casual or office outfit or with a glamorous evening look.
The Me and My Gal necklaces also offer a lot of sparkle in a way that doesn't look over the top, perfect for the up-to-date woman who wants to appear trendy and stylish. They are both ideal for daily wear and the simple shapes let the stones shine out. If you want something more eye catching the Orbital necklace fits the bill. Dripping with cubic zirconia the Orbital necklace uses the striking circular shape to great effect, mixing cubic zirconia with stunning silver accents for a bold look which will make quite the impact on a night out or at a sophisticated event.
The Simply Elegant necklace is a balance between the Orbital and Me and My Gal styles, using a circular motif and stylish cubic zirconia to create a piece which looks stunning on everyone, taps into the stone studded trend and is also very versatile. Pieces like this don't date easily, so they can be worn for many years in many different environments.
We all want to look good, and while following trends is one way to always look stylish, we think it's more important to choose the aspects of these trends which actually work in real life, that's why we design wearable and stylish jewellery that works for everyone. We have lots of other pearl and cubic zirconia jewellery to choose from that will look on-trend right now, and retain their elegance for the future.
